Combination dental works
A combination work has two main components a fixed prosthetic work (crown, bridge) and a removable partial with a metal base. Very often it is the only solution to patients without enough own pillar teeth and/or when less implants than adequate could be placed to hold a bridgework.
The removable part is stabilized with hidden precision attachments as ball and socket, friction grip slide attachment, latch burs, post and socket, spring retained socket snap-on/screw in and telescope. The male part of dental precision attachments is often a high strength precious alloy whereas the female part consists of a more elastic alloy but our lab uses metal to metal and metal to plastic connection systems. |
The most often used types in our lab are Bredent, Rhein83 (OT-Strathegy, OT-CAP), CEKA, and some implant system specific compatible parts. These type of dental works are usually made in more stages and offer a great variety of solutions. To achieve the best result it is always recommended to plan the individual case in cooperation with the lab. Options can vary in type, material and price but we quote every case immediately.
